QIs BlackBook free to use?
Yes, BlackBook is free to download on the App Store. Some premium features may require an in-app purchase, but the core CRM experience — adding contacts, logging interactions, and setting reminders — is completely free.
QWhere is my data stored?
All of your data is stored locally on your iPhone. If you have iCloud enabled, BlackBook can sync across your Apple devices through your personal iCloud account. Earnestly Studios never has access to your contacts or personal notes.
QCan I import contacts from my phone?
Yes. BlackBook can import contacts directly from your iPhone address book. You'll be asked to grant contacts permission the first time you do this. Your phone's contacts are not uploaded anywhere — they're simply read locally to populate your BlackBook.
QHow do relationship health scores work?
BlackBook calculates a health score based on how recently and how frequently you've logged interactions with each contact. The more you interact and log, the healthier the score. Contacts you haven't connected with in a while will show a declining score so you know who to prioritize.
QHow do I set up birthday reminders?
Open any contact, tap the birthday field, and enter their date. BlackBook will automatically send you a reminder notification before their birthday. You can customize how far in advance you'd like to be notified in Settings.
QWhat does the digital business card feature do?
BlackBook can generate a QR code from your own contact information. Anyone with a phone can scan it to instantly save your details — no app required on their end. It's a fast, modern way to exchange contact info.
